Good News

Yes, God is good! After six months of being unemployed, closing my shop, cleaning house,  praying and trusting in Him for our daily bread.......Mr. Sweetladyelaine found a JOB!!!

Praise God .......We often laugh and say "He is a last minute God"! He delivers in the nick of time.  But it is in His time and His time is perfect. We can never be sure what has to take place before He can give us what we need.  We just have to trust, that in His time, it will come to us!

If you know me, you know that I trust God with all my heart. I have said many times that it is one day at a time. On some days, especially in this season,  it was a minute at a time. You heard me say," Pray without ceasing".  A few times, I have sat down in the morning to drink my coffee and ended up talking to God right until dinner. God has never failed me. NEVER!

I just wanted you to know that we are going to Pasadena, Texas! We moved here from Houston, Texas a year & a half ago. I guess we need to go back to Texas for some reason. A New Yorker in Texas! lol This time I will buy cowgirl boots! Maybe a few dishes too!

Thank you to everyone who has been  praying for us! God does hear our prayers.
I will be in Illinois until our house is sold......so come back & visit!

If anyone lives near Pasadena, lets get together sometime! I would love to meet other bloggers!

Blessings My Friend,

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your needs to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ. Philippians 4:6&7.

  3. What wonderful news! My brother who's been out of work since September starts his new job next week. I know that you've been through this several times here lately.....hope that things will now settle down for so many people who have been out of work...especially for such long periods. Hope that your move is quick!

    1. Thank you Martha. Unemployment is a devastating thing. You feel lost & uncertain of your future. I am sure your brother can attest to that. I am happy for him too! I am sure it is a big relief. I am looking forward to our new move & what God has for our future. We are trusting in Him.

  4. Praise the Lord! A teaching in Bible study one time talked about the understanding that God's grace is there for us in our moment of need, not in our moment of imagination. I know that your faith, abiding and obedience is pleasing to our mighty God. Congratulations to you both. Texas is great place! Cherry Kay

  7. Wow, Elaine! I remember when you moved just awhile back! I can remember commiserating about living out of boxes and such. Now it's back to the boxes, huh? All's well that ends well, so boxes it is for now!

I am so happy that your husband has found work! I know how hard it is right now. We all have to kind of take it as it comes. I am just super glad that it came "in the nick of time" for you guys!!! Like you said, God never fails!

Best wishes as you start packing up and preparing to head southwest! I hope your Illinois home gets sold quickly so that you and your husband can get things rollin' in Texas together!

You keep me going! Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I am excited about our new move. I do know that it will not easy but with friends & God I will be fine. I think that's why I love blogging ...my friends are with me where ever I go! I will take one day at a time and see where God leads me.
I hope you are well....I am praying for you.

  8. That is wonderful! So happy to hear it! I love the scripture you put at the bottom. I have that on my desk at work. It is one of the scriptures that got me through my husband's Afghanistan deployment. God is good! -Dawn

    1. Yes, it is one of my favorites too! I memorize scripture to help me through the difficult times. I am glad that scripture got you through your husband's deployment. The other one that is my all time favorite, "Be still and know that I am God"! That just makes my heart sing! God is good! Thank you for stopping by....
