Come Join me for tea......

I am so happy you stopped by on Tablescape Thursday to enjoy a few minutes of girl chatter and a cup of tea with me. I was looking forward to this day all week....I am a little excited to show you a tea set I found at a garage sale some 20 years ago. I love this set!

This is a close up of the design. Did I tell you it has the initials Mix written on the bottom of the teapot but nothing on anything else. I have no idea who made it. Do you?
I usually have tea in my living room on a little table my husband brought back from India a few years ago. The marble comes from the Taj Mahal. Each peice is hand crafted without the use of any electric tools. They are inlaid with gem stones and shells. The glue that holds them together is a family recipe that has been handed down from generation to generation.

This is a close up. See how the flowers shine. You know I love shiney...

This is home for my tea set. My father told me he worked for two days in order for the guy to give it to him. It has green trim and gold knobs. It sits in the corner of my dining room. I treasure it! When I was little, it sat in the corner of my mom's sewing room with her crystal dishes in it! It makes me happy to know that I have things I remember growing up with!
Well, I hope you have enjoyed our Korean ginseng tea and my chatter! Come back again...I loved talking to you!
Blessings my friend!

Thank you...
Between Naps On The Porch for hosting Tablescape Thursday.

  11. Sweetladyelaine, You own some really pretty things and their history increases still their value. How very beautifull is this little table, it is an exeptional fine artwork. I guess the stones are lapislazuli and mother of pearl. Very outstanding. And your tea set is so pretty with the table, but also on every other place. This little glass cabinet is again a nice heirloom. I can imagine that it means so much to you. Thank you so much for the tea and the nice chat, I enjoyed the time with you very much. And have a supernice weekend.
    Greetings, Johanna
