I love cooking for people! It is a passion of mine. I feel it is my gift to them.  Last week I invited Tammy & Mark to dinner.  He had worked with my husband. They are such a wonderful couple. I was excited they were coming.
I set a new tablescape for the occasion.

I quickly took a few pictures before they came.......and I'm glad I did!

I used my ruffled yellow placemats with my glass blue chargers and then my yellow "Olive Design" plates and a cobalt blue salad bowl. You can see my "Yorktowne" corn on the cob holder in front of the plate.

I love hydrangea's......my napkins came from a thrift store.

I made a Green Salad with strawberries, toasted walnuts, red onion and cucumbers. Drizzled over the top is a Balsamic dressing with strawberries. It was delicious!

This is where the pictures of the food dishes end!

Would you believe the strap broke on the camera and I dropped the camera. Mr. Sweetladyelaine was trying to catch the other strap, and it slipped off the camera and dropped it again! Needless to say my beautiful camera is broken!

What you didn't get to see........
                                          Steak on the grill
                                     Mashed garlic potatoes
                                       Mushroom & onions
                                           Corn on the cob
                                      Homemade Italian bread
                                                     and
                                     Peach cobbler for dessert

We had a wonderful time even though I couldn't take any pictures. I was hoping to take pictures of our guests and share them with you. Well, I guess I have to invite them back for a retake!
