Where Do I Keep All My Dishes?

I am joining The Tablescaper for her Second Anniversary of Blogging and the House of Roses for Show off your cottage Monday by showing you where I keep all my dishes. You must remember I have only lived in Houston since December 23, 2010 and I have been sick since the middle of April.

So here goes...I can't believe I am showing you this.......

I am so embarrassed.......

I love that there are two huge closets like this in the back of my family room.

As I have been unpacking or rearranging I have been putting the boxes on the floor.

The rest of the closet is pretty organized.

I've just been blogging one year as of June 3, 2010!

So my collection is not as large as some of yours.

This is my kitchen cabinet where I keep my everyday dishes, Yorktowne.

Of course, I have china and teacups......I bought the china closet a few months ago. I just needed room....famous last words!
This is in the dining room. I was going to show you the whole room but I still need to hang all the pictures on the walls.

A Buffet to store my "Old Country Roses" China.

So now you know where I store my dishes!
I was just thinking...if I buy more dishes I may need the other closet for dishes. I do store food in this closet and started to store my candles in here too. I still have a huge bin of candles and have not unpacked them yet.

Well, I guess that will be another post.....

Have fun visiting other blogs for ideas on how and where to store your dishes!

You have your dishes wonderfully organized!
It's been a while since I had my dishes in cabinets. We're slowly redoing our house. Long story short....it'll be a while before I have my kitchen cabinets.

    Waiting can be challenging,

  8. I can't believe you've been in your home for such a short period of time and are so organized. It looks great. I find that one of the more difficult parts of organizing is that once you think you've got a grouping of things on the perfect shelf or spot, then you find more of the same and need more space. That's an amazing closet.

Thanks so much for coming to the party and sharing!

I look forward to seeing your dining room after you hang your pictures. Maybe you can do a post just on that? It looks great so far.

  21. You know I had to come visiting as we share the same name. At least I think your name is Elaine as it is in your blog name. Well I am an Elaine too. Don't run into many of them. We must be unique. Your pool looks so very tranquil and I am sure we all have cupboards we don't want others to see. That's why they have doors right?
