Tablescape Thursday and I need help!

Hi all,
This week has certainly kept me busy......

It's already time to play with my dishes. I bought new ones in Katy at The Home Goods Store!
I'm not sure if I have shared this with you but we have not found a church and are very concerned. Anyway, this past Sunday we visited Redeemer Community Church! It was wonderful...the people we met were friendly and just loved on us. I have to admit we were needing it!  Pastor Mitch Maher greeted us and asked us where we were from and named our old church...The Chapel at Crosspoint! The service was great! The problem...we drove 45 minutes to get there!!!!!
On the way to church I spotted a Home Goods Store and you know me...I had to stop! so we did...

Now I will admit I love the dishes but I am NOT happy with the centerpeice! It is just not me....I know all of you will love it! It's a little too much for me.....you decided. I like simple.

We are in my dining room. The wall color is like a cadet blue. A little dark but dramatic!

This picture has a green salad plate.

This one has a yellow salad plate.
The napkins I bought at Salvation Army here in Houston.

The yellow plates are by Sweet Olive Designs;
 Fancy Scroll Collection.

The green plates are Artistic Accents.
The placemats I bought in HomeGoods. They have a green center.

I bought these dishes because I loved this little crown bowl.

I need to thank Susan at BNOTP for hosting this fab party!
I have alot more pictures.....

I just can't show you any more pictures because I ran out of room on Picasa Web. Does anyone know what to do...I really don't want to buy any more space. Does everyone have this problem? If I delete my pictures from the album it deletes them from my blog. I thought blogging was free...

I am a little confused on what to do!
Please leave me a comment.....

Blessings My Friend,

  1. So glad you found a loving church! I know a closer one would be ideal, though. Maybe visit a few more? I can see why you had to have those dishes! Those little crown bowls are darling! And the napkins are pretty, too. I hope you get some suggestions about Picasa, because I'm almost out of space, too. Take care!

  2. Hi Elaine!
Guess the good Lord led you to those dishes! LOL They are beautiful! I love the shape.
If you use Live Writer to do your blog, you don't have to use Picassa or anything else. Give it a try, I could never go back!
I don't think driving 45 min ea way with gas prices is an option, look closer to home! :)

  3. Hello!
Your table is lovely. I like the colors. Pretty dishes.

I wish I had visited the Houston Salvation Army when I lived in Spring, Texas!!! I stayed so close to home in those days...I'm not sure I would have been brave enough to go into Houston.

May you find a Church Home and be Blessed.

  4. Hi Sweet Lady Elaine, you are just too funny! What does one do after church? Well, go to Home Goods of course! Don't worry, when the time is right you will find your church in some way you can't predict. In the meantime maybe the drive is worth it. We have people coming that far to ours (First Pres of New Canaan). I just filled up my picasa space too and had to buy more. I was surprised about it too, but it only cost $ 5.00 for a huge amount of space, so that's what I did. Have a nice day! Linda

  5. I really like your table...I can't see anything wrong with the centerpiece, it looks like you are ready for Easter!
I love the dishes, especially the crown bowls, too cute.
45 minutes is quite a drive, there must be a church closer that will fit your needs.
    Have a great weekend, Elaine!

  6. Sweet tablescape. Those little crown bowls are darling and I would have been tempted by them, too.

I would continue to check out churches closer to see if one is a good fit. You know you can always head to the one you liked that is 45 minutes away should your search not find a suitable match closer.

    Take care,
    Tammy

  7. Yep, you have to buy more space. I guessing blogging is free, but pictures aren't. Thrilled that the Lord has encouraged you with a welcoming church. We changed churches about six years ago. We visited a group of churches for about six months...there was one that we kept wanting to revisit. It's been our church home for about five years, and we love it! Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay

  8. I just upload my pictures directly to my blog and I have never run out of room. I hope you can find a solution. Oh, my goodness, those crown bowls are just wonderful. I see why they caught your eye. A Home Goods is opening up close to my home. I can't decide if that is a good thing or a very bad thing. :)

  9. Hi Elaine, I'm a fellow transplant to Houston from the Northeast and share your love of thrift stores, yard sales, dishes and teacups. I have a collection of teacups left to me by my mother and an elderly aunt. I'm still trying to figure out how to display them in my new home. Just wanted to say "howdy" and welcome to the "neighborhood". I enjoy your blog and look forward to reading more.

  11. Hi Lady Elaine,

It sure can be hard to find a new church home. I know that one by experience after our church closed down. I'm happy for you ... just in time for Easter!

Your tablescape is beautiful ... I love your new dishes; they are big and chunky.

Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello,

    Kathy M.
