I heard so much talk about "Old Time Pottery " that I just had to trot over there and see what all the excitement was about. Mind you, I had no money to spend I just could look! Well, I looked and looked and looked some more.......'til my legs ached! Hours.......it seemed like days.....
Now comes the good part!
I spent $2.34 plus tax! On what you ask????? You'll have to see for yourself......I feel like having fun with you today! lol Take the best guess after looking at my post and see if you can guess?????
I'll tell you at the end!
Well, Take a guess!
The Bird house is from the Christmas Tree Shop a long time ago.
The fairy was a present from my Aunt Emily.
The white birds & nests I bought at Michael's at 40% off last week.
The glasses I bought at the Dollar Store and painted myself.
The napkins are from Walmart last fall.
The placemats are from Marshall's.
The nest holders are candlesticks from Goodwill and the yellow plates are from Goodwill.
The depression glass green plate I bought years ago.
The candle was in a basket full of goodies, I won at church in Buffalo.
The silverware is from my summer stash.
The eggs are whoppers!
So have you guessed.......

Hush UP!!!!! Seriously?!??!?! They didn't have those plates at the OTP here! I thoroughly rummaged through every plate display there, and I never saw them. I got there early on the first day of the big anniversary sale last week, but nothing like that at all. Wow! Great find, Elaine! Good for you!!! I love the way you mixed and matched with the other plates. Perfect! I really like those placemats rimmed in soft green, too. Very pretty! Your header is a photo of your new house in IL? The brick is beautiful! I meant to mention that several weeks ago. And you guys have a mailbox right outside at your curb! Lucky!!! We have to walk a half block to get to a community mail center for our cul-de-sac. I don't know what genius thought that hot mess up, but that's the way it is. I go for days...sometimes weeks...without checking the mail! Enjoy your new toys, and have a great weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteAlycia,
DeleteYes my header is our new home! I do love it...so different from what I would have picked. A little modern for my furniture but I am managing.
I had to laugh at your not getting the mail sometimes for weeks. I do that here too! I just think we are so busy we forget! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! lol
Thanks for stopping by...I love yur visits!
Blessings,
Sweetladyelaine

Very cute and sweet tablescape! I love your new plates. I wish we had Old Time Pottery out here. I think you need to go back there and buy plates for everybody! Love the birdies and birdhouse, too. I'm impressed you paint your own glasses. I'm thinking about trying to do that, but mine will probably look like a kindergarten project.
ReplyDeleteKove the litle birdie and the nest. Pretty tablescape!..Christine
ReplyDeleteLovely table and the plates matched the glasses that you painted! Spring is definitely there at your table!
ReplyDeleteGreat buy on those plates. I don't think they had them at my OTP here but I always find nice things there. Plates just look fresher and more up to date when there is a combination of flowers and birds. Pretty spring table!
