Good Morning!
You've heard this before, Take care of yourself
But what does that really mean?
It means celebrating your strengths and forgiving your flaws.
It means saying yes to less stress by shortening your to do list.
And it means doing something everyday that makes you happy.
You don't need an excuse. You work hard!
You are the daughter of a King!
That's reason enough!
You deserve quiet time!
So be good to yourself.
Stop a moment and smell the roses before it's too late.
Don't let your Life pass you by!
Find that cozy spot in your home, get a cup of tea and
lean back, close your eyes and take a few minutes and talk to God !
really tell Him what's on your mind. He already knows.........
He just wants to hear it from you!
God Listens!
Blessings My Friend,
"And when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your
Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him". (Matthew 6:6-8)

THE END?????
Fellow Bloggers!
Summer is not over for me! I can swim at least until October if the weather holds out!
I love our pool and will have a hard time saying see you in April-May.
I am a die-hard when it comes to summer!
I started out with another tablescape and then remembered Kathleen's Farewell to Summer Challenge.(Which I thought was this week........and its next week! lol The story of my life!)
Our weather did not cooperate this afternoon so I set the table inside at my dining room .
I used three colorful beach towels as my tablecloth.
The whites dishes you have seen a lot. I happen to love them......
they are by Living Quarters and the pattern is Ridges. Each napkin has a different shell on top.
This is a new plate bought at a Thrift Store.
They are Pier 1 Imports, the pattern is Spice Route Ginger.
Doesn't that sound delicious? I love that it is square!
I use these every morning for bagels or toast.
They are by Better Homes and Gardens bought at Wal-Mart, a few years ago.
I like Better Homes and Garden products. Have you bought any at Wal-Mart?
My centerpiece is simply seashells in a sectional platter. I can't remember what they call it.
The jar in the middle I made from a old candle and put a little bling on it.
Here's a closer picture.
I have a few of these on the table......do you know what they are?
They look like bubbles but they are actually called Japanese fishing balls. They were once used by fishermen in many parts of the world to keep their fishing nets afloat. I have several from my mother in love who lived in Alaska. Mr. Sweetladyelaine grew up in Alaska. Not sure if I ever mentioned that before.
This is a pretty pitcher. It's blue on the bottom and then changes to yellow and then to a light green.
I bought it for $3.00 at Goodwill, I think.
I had lots of fun with this challenge. Thank you, Kathleen for stretching my imagination! I pulled out another summer tablescape out of my brain! lol
I will be joining:
Cuisine Kathleen challenge is August 27th so you will see it then!

A Tea Time Vingette
This certainly has been a busy week! Mr. Sweetladyelaine is now working from home.
He use to drive an hour and a half to and from work.
It has been a little too much for him, therefore he has opened his own safety consulting business, Passion4safety.com.
It is different having him home all day and we are adjusting fine.
I seem to be doing ok, but don't get as much finished. My housework is a little behind.
Although we know it is never ending!
The past few weeks, I keep seeing lots of vintage items on your blogs and I need to start showing mine! I guess I just forget they are vintage!
This is what inspired me to do a vignette today!
Yesterday I was having tea and put my tea bag in a one of these tea bag holders.
I realized it was vintage tea bag holder!
I don't have that many tea bag holders but I use them all the time.
If I'm lazy, I just leave it in my cup!
Do you ever do that or put it on the side of your cup?
Here are a few that I use frequently!
As I was looking for a table runner and I came across this dresser scarf.
I decided it would be perfect for my vignette!
I bought it at a monthly flea market in Belleville, IL.
Can you guess why I bought it???
If you said because it was pink You are right! I am crazy about pink!
I have one bedroom that has a pink, green and blue floral bedspread!
My house is basically neutral colors with burgundy touches.
I was going to use it on that dresser upstairs and haven't climbed those stairs to do it!
That's a whole different post! lol
This vignette is on my childhood dresser in my kitchen........
I don't remember where I got my teacups or hankies. I use the hankies as napkins.
This is a Precious Moments teacup 1985.
It just says, Queen Anne and made in England on the back.
Queen's Rosina China Co Ltd. Oxford
By appointment of her majesty the Queen manufacturers of Paragon.
I have no idea the name of my teacup patterns.
Do you?
Notice the beautiful butterfly napkin!
I bought this spoon in Lafayette Louisiana.
I wish I had bought a few more!
I painted this pitcher white, it was brown.
It sits on the back of my toilet in my half bath.
My daughter gave this teapot to me.
The cookie plate came from a consignment store in IL, I paid $1.00 for it!
A full view....................
The green depression glass plates were given to me by my mom.
She got them from our neighbor next store, Mary.
She had passed years ago and I remember her each time I use her dishes.
Her birthday was May 1st.
Funny how we remember things, I was very young when she gave them to my mom.
Another little side note:
I was a Special Education Teacher for many years and wore suit jackets all the time.
The handkerchiefs were used in the front pocket of a jacket or used as actual handkerchiefs in my purse on special occasions.
Everything I have shown you has come from a second hand store of some kind.
Thank you for stopping by!
Please leave a comment so I know you were here and I can come and visit you.

Seashells and More
I love seashells! In a previous post I told you I collected seashells on various beaches in Maine, Rhode Island, Florida, New Jersey and New Hampshire.
I can't tell you which ones came from which beach!
I guess, I just collected and came home and used them in decorating.
My tablescape today is a beachy one. This week I am missing my favorite beaches!
I'm glad I lived on the east coast so we had the opportunity to vacation at all the wonderful beaches.
Do I have a favorite??????? Hmmmmm.................
I think I loved them all! Wells, Ogunquit, Kennebunkport, Old Orchard, Salisbury, Hampton, Key West, Clearwater, Siesta .......Oh I could go on and on! I am a beach bum at heart!
I miss going to all the little stores and boardwalks too! Sitting in the sun........
But time has moved on and I now live in Texas, at least for a while.
I still have my memories! Great ones at that!!!
Now, on to my beach table!
I started out with placemats all alike. Take note, that I am mixing things up!
Then I added a rattan charger and a white plate.
This is where I changed it up a bit. I used a different color salad plate.
I only have two of the turquoise ones.
The silver clam shells hold a white chocolate.
A side view of each place setting.
Centerpiece of shells....The big one I bought in the Thrift Store for under $5.00!
A seashell I use as a candy dish with homemade white chocolates in it.
Lanterns purchased from Kirkland's on sale! I love them!
I will tell you about the starfish down the road a bit!
The sparkling starfish came from St. Luke's Hospital gift shop. Yes, I shopped while my husband was in the hospital! What dishoholic wouldn't find the time to sneak out and find something to add to her collection! lol
Margaritas anyone???????
My mother in love gave me this gravy boat and I use it a lot and not just for gravy!
So there you have it! A beachy themed table set.................. with love!
I am glad you stopped by!
Please leave a message! I love to hear what you've been up too!
