All I can think about is.........

Goodwill Hunting
I just had to share my finds with you today!
I have been so disappointed in the Illinois Goodwill. I have been there many times and I never seem to find anything.
Well, I love what I bought today.
Do you know the maker? I think it is so pretty!

A Beautiful Lady
Just thought I would show you my little hallway between my bedroom and a half bath.
I bought everything second hand.
This little hallway makes my heart sing..........
I bought the chest first, at Consign & Design here in Illinois.
My husband and I went back to the consignment store and he bought me this lady lamp!
I love her!!!!!
The Victorian blue vase was a gift. I hate to put water in it so I just hang pearls.
The pitcher is from a Goodwill in Texas.
In Texas, the pitcher sat on my armoir in our bedroom holding dried roses. The feather I bought for a dollar at Michael's.
I love this little corner of my world. I am so happy that I got to share it with you.
Thanks for stopping by....Please leave a commet.....it keeps me going! lol
I have been painting again.....A reveal is coming!

Earth Day.....
I think I missed it! I am so busy lately that things are just passing me by....
Earth Day was the inspiration for this table.......I was suppose to join a few parties.
I would have loved to set the table outside but we still have to put it together. lol
I used to different salad plates; a yellow one and a green one. The placemats are from Wally World! My favorite store.
I love this little crock I bought at the Dollar Store in Texas. I use it often for soups, stews, desserts and even ice cream! The color is just perfect for any season.
The dinner plate came from Old Time Pottery for 39 cents. A real bargain for me! I love bargains because I can't afford to be a dishaholic if it wasn't on sale!
I love this geen plate with the yellow pattern below.......You have seen it many times.
My fishing duck that my husband gave me years ago when we were first married. She is too cute!
I love this picture frame......I never put a picture in it because I love what is says.
My blue bird follows me everywhere!
You can never go wrong with greenery for a centerpiece.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you for stopping by and please leave a comment! I look forward to hearing from you.

My Hidden Treasures in Illinois
I have been promising you that I would show you where I am storing all my dishes in my new Illinois house.
Well, today is your lucky day!
If you have been following me for awhile, you know what a huge walk in closet I had in Texas for my dishes. I had two walk in closets plus the kitchen, living room, china closet and a buffet to store everything. Texas had lots of hiding places!
Here is a picture of one of my walk in's.
When I moved in to our new house in Illinois I wondered what would I do with my 17 dish packs! Yes, I did say 17!
Not counting my everyday dishes.
I wish I had taken more before pictures.....but here it is.......BEFORE!
I did add a bookcase to the right. It does have to be painted but at this point I just needed it in place. It is difficult to unpack and not have a place to put stuff. I had stuff all over on every inch of my counters for at least a month! lol
After a long wait......I am finally finished! Ya right! It looks good and is useful at this point in time............I know I will tweak it!
My husband added more wire shelving......
It took us so long because tools had to be unpacked to do the job. Plus we have so many things going on at the same time.
This is the orginal picture with food, the same one as above. The bookcase holds my black iron pans, crock pot, punch bowl and cake plates. I used a shoe rack to the left and put all my cupcake papers, sprinkles, cookie cutters, party toothpicks etc.
They are my life savers! I have brought the big pans in the basement because I only use them for parties or when my family visits. It gave me more dish space.
I put extra shelving on the wall to hold the smaller boxes next to the door. This is from my husband when he was in the hotel for three months! lol We rarely eat too many things that come out of a box! All my sugar, flour, Bisquick and Oatmeal are in large containers. I am a container freak...everything is in containers if it comes in a box. Once cookies are opened they go in a container too!
My cherished possession in my pantry is my step stool by rubbermaid I bought it at Lowe's. The best thing I ever bought!!!

These are the two shelves we added on all the way around the whole top of the pantry!
I put the pans, dishes, platters and anything I use less often on the top. Eventually, I would like to label all my dishes. I did put them by color or season. Christmas, Fall, Fourth of July and New Years on the very top shelf.

Welcome to my Unfinished Dining
I decided to just go ahead and set this weeks table in the dining room.....an unfinished dining room I may add!
This dining room has had furniture moved in and then out again. I just can't seem to get it together. My dining room in Texas was so big and I loved the color .
Here are two pictures in case you are new to my blog.
This is my Illinois Dining Room
It is beige and smaller.
It needs help!
Why do always notice one leaning candle after I post the pictures????
In the corner, are picture boxes that need to be unpacked and hung.
Any volunteers??? I didn't think so.....
You are looking directly into my entry. The front door is on the left. The sliding doors are a closet.
I bought these napkins at "Something Special" a thrift shop that helps battered women in Texas.
A side shot......
The yellow straw placemat was bought at "Consignment & Design", a beautiful shop here in Illinois.
The glass blue charger was bought at "Something Special". The white pleated plates at Goodwill in Buffalo, NY. The yellow salad plate is from Marshall's in Texas and the cobalt blue bowl was a gift from my Mom years ago.
My blue bird of happiness was a gift from my daughter.
I thought this was a cool shot! Yes, that is cardboard still on the entry floor!
The glasses are etched.......the smaller wine glasses have grapes and leaves on them and the other have flowers. I use wine glasses for any thing I'm drinking. I think they are all so beautiful!
I mix and match too!
I hope you liked my hydrangea....they are from my front porch. I guess I can say they were they inspiration for this tablescape.
This tablescape was fun to create. Everything just fell into place!
Today I will be joining:

Remember:
Jesus tells us that our heavenly Father's opinion about us is all that truly matters. If He approves of us, that is all we need. He gives us our identity and an our inner beauty. Look to Jesus for approval.
Be obedient to Him. Don't worry about what others think!

Happy Birthday!!!
Happy Birthday
7th
My Sweet, Sweet
Chloe
She was part of our family from the moment we got her......
This is the first picture of Chloe in Buffalo meeting our other dogs.
We got Chloe from friends. She was nipping their children's playmates.
Chloe and Ceasar were Best Friends.
Ceasar passed last year on September 17, 2011.
She was very sad.........
She grieved a long time with us!
She looks so tiny here! Chloe is a Maltese. She weighs between 9-10 lbs.
Chloe is where ever mom is......she has such a sweet way about her.
Daddy is painting the Family room in Buffalo and Chloe is resting.
Two Christmas's ago.
I love this munchkin to death! She is the bright spot of my day!
I am so happy to have her........Do you have a dog you love? They are so much apart of our families I wondered what I did before I had three dogs. What about you??
