It's 86 degrees and Fall!!!!!

I know you think I'm crazy but it is hot here according to Sweetladyelaine! This is a cool down for Texans...believe it or not! It has been a hot, hot, record breaking summer!
This New Yorker-Texan will be sad to leave this weather and my beautiful pool.......I have enjoyed this hot, hot record breaking summer!!!!
With that in mind, I am celebrating a cool 86 degrees today........
I even disobeyed our realtor and got out some pumpkins...Yes, I am naughty but I have a few weeks to redeem myself before Santa gets wind of it! lol

The placemat is a microfiber towel folded in half from Walmart.

This pretty yellow plate was bought at Marshall's. It is Sweet Olive Designs, Fancy Scroll Collection by Jane Adams.

This plate was  bought at Goodwill in Buffalo. On the back of the plate it says Tam O'Shanter, Vernonware.

I bought the bowl or dipping dish at a Family Dollar Store for $1.29.

A side view....The charger I bought at "Something Special", the proceeds go to a women's shelter.

I changed my centerpiece in the middle of my picture taking. I like this one better. My husband doesn't like the centerpiece in the middle of the table "That's where the food goes". If I was doing a bigger table, I would put it in the center with candles and pumpkins all around it.

A Dollar Store find.

The last picture is of my fireplace. The basket was suppose to go on the front door but my hanger is too high
and I am too tired to change it.......by the way it is a "Command" hook.

I want to thank Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for hosting Tablescape Thursday. Please stop by and see all the beautiful tablescapes.....I know my friends have spend time and effort on them.

Thank you for visiting me today I appreciate all your kind words so please leave a comment.

Blessings My Friend,

  1. Love the Tam O Shanter plates, I have the other ones called Homespun. They are the perfect colors for fall.
It is still hot here in Kansas, too.
    Have a great week, Elaine!

  2. Your Vernonware dishes are so unusual-I love them. Cute little candleholders too. I am glad to see that your tablescape is for two. It is just me and the hubby and I always feel inimidated when I join Susan's party, because they are all so elabrate and I just don't do that for us two.

  5. Where are you moving? I can't remember if you told us. It's so hard to do your usual decorating for the seasons when your house is for sale. I always laugh because once we sold a house when it was totally crammed with all the Christmas decorations, and another time we sold our house in the midst of a child's birthday party with 25 screaming kiddos running wild. You just never know what is going to catch someone's interest. Cherry Kay

  8. That yellow plate is gorgeous! I'm a Marshalls shopper and I've never seen that one! All of your plates look so pretty stacked up like you have them. Sometimes it's better when the 'centerpiece' is not in the center! ha Thanks for your visit and kind comments!
