The last few days it has been cold and now the weekend it is suppose to be in the 70's! Yikes! Does anyone else have this problem??
As you all know I just moved here in November and I am still unpacking. I am not doing so well! It appears to be one thing after another. I am trying to just take it one day at a time. I have been setting up doctor appointments and trying to do things in between. I guess my blog has suffered.
Today I am sharing dinner at Donna & Kurt's. We spent a few days together in January while my husband had business in Baton Rouge. We always have such fun and she is a gracious hostess! Kurt & Mr. Sweetladyelaine always pick up where they left off too!
We have been friends since we lived in Buffalo, New York.
We always say prayers before dinner.
I love my friendship with Donna....it is easy and blessed.
Her mom, Wilma lives with Donna.
A sweet, sweet woman.
I see where Donna gets her loveliness.
She sets the prettiest tables.
We had pizza and salad and she used cloth napkins!
I'm not as brave with pizza sauce.
I could have eaten the whole bowl myself! lol
This is just before we sat down. I was yelling I have to take a picture!
I think a few eyes rolled....
I didn't take dessert pictures. I forgot......but this is a dessert I had at Cheesecake café.
We stopped for lunch after our shopping spree at Macy's one day sale.
Mardi gras cheesecake. It was ok, but it looked fabulous!
There you have it! A evening with friends in Louisiana!
Miss my friend Donna everyday. I pray you find or have a friend like Donna.
Some one who is always there, ready to listen and love you!
I will be joining
Susan at Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday
Blessings My Friend,
As water reflects a face, so a man's heart reflects the man. Proverbs 27: 19
New Mexico has variable winter weather too, but usually But not as warm as yours. It's been lots of doctors for me lately too! But just about finished. Thanks for the good word on my shop! So nice to know you stopped by!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you! I will pray for your opening! Good Luck! Love ya,
DeleteBlessings to you,
Welcome to Texas. Yes, the weather is very unpredictable here. Trust we do not have a summer like the last or you may not like it here. I have never lived anywhere but Texas. If your header is your home, you are blessed with a mansion. So truly gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Where in Texas do you live? I live in Spring. I will enjoy the weather more, as soon as I am all unpacked and my doctor visits are over. I have allergies and just went to the ENT Doctor for the removal of wax against my eardrum. I finally can hear!
DeleteTake care My Friend,
Hi Elaine, i. Am always happy to see a post. But i have a hard time reading the tiny print. I am using an iPad and it is very difficult to do anything, i tried making it bigger by swiping my screen but not happening.
ReplyDeleteI agree Barb! I will fix it as soon as I can figure it out. Thanks for the heads up.
DeleteBlessings My Friend,
Hilarious that everyone rolled their eyes when you stopped forward progress on dinner to take a picture!!! I do the same thing, and we always laugh about it...after their tummies are full! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour friend really does set a nice table. I like it that she goes all out even for pizza! A pretty table can make ANY meal feel super special, and it's obvious she understands that.
I'm so glad you guys got a chance to visit your friends. I hope the weather there in Texas evens out soon. It has been the same here. In fact, the last several years has brought bitterly cold and unusually mild weather in a weird mixed bag of ups & downs. We enjoyed temps in the upper 50s on Sunday, and by Monday morning the temperature was somewhere around 6 degrees!!!
Have a great weekend, and I hope things work out. Feel well, my friend!
Well I wish I had so much of a problem!! 70 in a few days!! I can imagine though that it would be tough to figure out what month your in much less what season it is! Looks like your dinner party was fun. There is nothing better than friends visitng and sharing some happy time together. I hope all the things that have been plaguing you get better soon!
ReplyDeleteNothing like friendship for a great dinner.
