A friend of mine sent this to me in an email...I thought it was worth sharing!
"I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD's my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised.' Psalm 18:1-3a
When you think you've heard it all, something this beautiful comes along! Do look/listen, it'll be worth a few minutes of your time...sending with love. (Scroll down to the bottom past the notes..then click and enjoy
The Lord's Prayer
The music is the Lord's prayer with words 'being' written as you watch. Then
they tumble and start all over again, ending with ll Chronicles, and a quote
from President Ronald Reagan.
If you are not interested, just go to another blog. But you will
be missing a unique opportunity to settle your heart and concentrate on the
ONLY one who can change this nation after he has heard our repentance and
plea for mercy.

I am Lusting....
After viewing some of your posts this week....I want a new house! How about new furniture? Well...How about new things for my tabletops? Remember we are unemployed!
I am lusting....lol
WELL THEN...
How about I just keep everything and move it around a bit! lol
We are in my family room...It is so huge! It's as big as a two car garage. I'm not sure what to do with it so this is Phase I. It is painted a toast color by the previous owners. I think I'd like to go lighter.
The table is a farm table I have had for years. Instead of a table I think I would like something with drawers. I'm just not sure. This table measures five feet long. The door to the right is my dish closet. The door to the left is the garage .
The candlabra you saw last week. The pictures are of our parents.
Did you see the old bicycle under the table? The wheels are coated with leather instead of the tradional rubber tires. Its all made with metal steel rivets. It's my pride and joy! I just loved it from the moment I saw it at a flea market.
I think something is wrong with the site. I am having trouble with putting the pictures where I want them, so forgive me.... This tea set is from Marshall's. The set is Bella Lux "Alexandra Gold". The basket was the bottom of a gift basket.
This flower arrangement was in my bedroom. The basket is from the Christmas Tree Shop when they had a Trunk Show. I put the arrangement together.
The picture and wrought iron piece came from Kirkland's. It says
"The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you". It was perfect with all the other wrought iron pieces on the table.
The picture looks dark but I am thinking of putting a lamp on the corner or a picture light over the picture. I also think a lighter wall color will help.
Hope you enjoyed my sneak peek at my family room.
I am joining Susan at Between Naps On The Porch for tablescape Thursday. Please visit as many blogs as you can and leave comments. We thrive on comments!

I'm turning in to a Tex Mex Italian.....
Since I have moved to Texas I want to experience everything! I love going to the market...
Really???? Yes! It is wonderful to walk through the produce department and wonder what in the world do Texans do with this stuff ? There are so many vegetables that I have never heard of....forget about Mexican pastries! That's a whole other can of worms!
I have decided to make friends with someone who knows how to cook Mexican and then, bribe them to teach me! lol
A few days ago, I took my husband to "Fiesta," a market here in Houston. He was in awe at the produce department....so many peppers, fruits, roots, cactus etc. We heard only Spanish being spoken and the piles of tortilla on tables would make your head spin! The other neat thing is they had stores in the grocery store! What's up with that? You could buy clothes, get your hair done, buy drinks, buy who knows what else! It looked like we were in Las Vegas with all the lights.
We had fun going up and down the aisles looking at all the food. We did buy fruit and some Mexican pastries. I forgot to write down the names so I will have to go back to write them down and see if I can make friends with someone who knows how to cook Mexican!
With all that said, can you guess where my inspiration came from....Yes! Tex-Mex...Italian style! lol
We are in my family room on the round coffee table.....we often eat in here on Friday nights or if we are in the middle of a good movie!
Dinner is Tex-Mex Pie( I learned to make this from a church we visited), a Green Salad and Strawberry Margarita's.
The striped dishes are by Set Sail. I bought 4 plates and bowls at 1/2 price in two different stores. One in Spring and the other in Galveston, Texas. Who could have guessed!
The oval bowl is "Sango". The pattern is Cafe Americana 98.
This set was given to me by my friend Shelley from Buffalo, NY.
The napkins are bandannas from Hobby Lobby. The fruit is from Fiesta Market. The bowl the fruit is in is a gift from my friend Shelley.
The Margaritas glasses are from Marshall's. I forgot to fill them!
The candelabra is from The Goodwill in Buffalo...at $2.00, I couldn't resist! The tablecloth is from a thrift store in Houston. I just love the colors! Very festive!
Thank you to Susan at Between Naps On the Porch for hosting Tablescape Thursday! Please visit some wonderful tablescapes.

Let's talk.....
In the past few days, I have had to tell myself to "march on and be strong, my soul". Have you ever felt like that? I am feeling weary, tired and maybe a little bit overwhelmed. Like all the life has been sucked out of me. It's a horrible feeling. After awhile of feeling sorry for myself, I think if I am going to be victorious I have to fight ! Fight whom, you ask????? The darkness in my mind. Though I strive to be the best that I can, the darkness creeps in! I'm not sure how... it just does.
You know, the bad thoughts, the poor me syndrome, the pity party......We are warned about such things in the Bible...
" For our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers against the authorities against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12).
Do I listen? No, I forget that there is really evil out there. That the devil tells me lies and wants to steal my joy. I lose control and wonder why?
What do I do at this point?
Pray "without ceasing". Even if it's a simple "Help Me God"! Sometimes that's all I can pray.....my favorite is Psalm 69:29
"I am in pain and distress; may your salvation, O God, protect me".
Sometimes I can only get the first part out, but I know God hears!
In 2 Chronicles, it tells me that if I stand firm I will see His deliverance. I should not be afraid or discouraged. For the battle is not mine but God's. God fights my battles everyday. Never ceasing! In case your wondering that means 24-7!
It is wonderful to know that I am not fighting alone!
He hears my prayers everyday. Sometimes it is difficult.... but I put one foot in front of the other and lean on Him. He is my answer to all my difficulties. I look up to Him for help. My friends can only do so much...they can pray for me and encourage me, but I need God to do the work. He has a wonderful plan for my life. I have to trust in Him. I have to walk with Him to see His blessings for my life.
God has blessed me richly.
Whether you know it or not.....You are either worshipping God or the Devil! What takes priority in your life? Is it God or something else?
My husbands favorite saying, "Give God a try; if you don't like Him, the devil will always take you back".
Remember God is on your side! Look to Him for everything. Keep Him in your sight.
Have a great day!

And Baby makes Four!!!!!
Our New Addition to The Cariglio Zoo
Her name is Sweet Pea! She was born April 24, 2011. She is a Japanese Chin. Chin means "cat like".
The Japanese Chin’s origin and development is in its native land of China and is wrapped in royalty and adoration. They were bred for the sole purpose of accompanying the ladies of the Imperial Palace and warming the laps of Chinese aristocracy. There are illustrations on ancient pottery and embroideries that are centuries old, and evidence suggests that one could not purchase a Chin – they were kept in the hands of the nobility and frequently given as gifts of esteem to diplomats and to foreigners who rendered some outstanding service to Japan.
Sweet Pea is getting introduced to Chloe
and Caesar.....
Miss Princess Penelope Peanut is not impressed! After all, there can be only one Princess to a household. Everyone knows I am the Princess here!!!! Mommy even said so.
Chloe and Caesar discussing this new addition......Caesar is a Japanese Chin. Chloe is a Maltese.
Her name maybe Sweet Pea but she terrorizes Chloe and Caesar! She follows them all over and they try to run away. lol They are not sure of this new addition!
I am hoping she will weigh no more than 5 lbs. Chins can be black & white or sable & white. They weigh under 10 lbs. They live 12- 14 years.
She is too cute! They are very easy. You don't have to walk them. You do need to brush them and bathe them. I do all the grooming myself. They can go out but mine prefer using pee pads since we have moved to Texas. She is adapting very nicely!
Hope you enjoyed a few pictures of our latest.
