I have been very busy this week, not sure what I have been doing but the weeks are flying by! I finally bought some mums for the flower pot on the front porch....they are small but I guess they will grow. I wasn't going to buy any but when I went to Lowe's and found them for 25 cents each..... I would be foolish if I didn't buy them. I am usually very poor at getting things done on the outside of the house but great at decorating inside. This year I am letting everything slide, I think its the move. I am not interested in spending money on flowers if I am going to move!
The bushes are changing very fast in Western New York.
Our gazing ball...I really love this!
We bought it years ago.
Our Backyard
This is my backyard corner.....We bought that tree at Lowe's last year in October for $9.99! Planted it and prayed it would take...it is a flowering pear tree. It has little white flowers in the spring!
This is my other corner closest to the house. It is a perennial garden I started last year. These white flowers just bloomed.
Our Pond
There are Koi, frogs, lilies and hibiscus flowers.
And of course, what is a pond without a pond dog. Her name is Chloe.....she loves outdoors!
She is a Maltese.
This is the front of our house.
I sure am going to miss it, but I know I will love the next house too!
By the way...we are moving to HOUSTON, TEXAS!!!! We just found out this weekend. We thought we were going to West Virginia, but the CEO said, Houston! I am very excited.....
Now all we have to do is sell our house!
Thanks to all of you who visit my blog and leave comments! I am encouraged by your words. It's what keeps me motivated during this difficult time in our lives.
BLESSINGS to you,
Oh, I'm excited to hear you're moving to Texas! My daughter lives in Houston, so we're down there frequently. Your yard IS really pretty where you are now, and I can see why you're not interested in planting anything else! Love your fall touches, though!
ReplyDeleteAww... you gonna leave your gorgeous house?
ReplyDeleteGood luck for the next stop. Hope you won't forget to visit before moving, then §;-)
Hapy TS, Lady & enjoy the week-end ahead.

Hi, Elaine!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you visited my blog because it lead me to yours! :-)
Oh, what a beautiful house! I just know you will get a buyer for a place that pretty, and I'm excited for your move to Houston. It's a fun city. Mr. Magpie's aunt and uncle live there and have for many years.
I have been pretty lazy with my fall decoration, but I had a sick husband for the whole month of September. He's much better now, but he had surgery which knocked him (and me) for a bit of a loop! So everything else took a back seat to getting him up and running again which he thankfully is!
Where are you located in Western New York? I have some ancestors who were early settlers of Buffalo and environs. I've never been there, but I have that on my agenda of places to visit. I'm a bit of a history nut and a genalogist. One of those! LOL!
All the best in selling your house and in your move to Texas. There are some wonderful bloggers from there!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Your home is so pretty. I know that you're anxious to sell and start your new adventure...hopefully things will start selling again soon and you can start on your next pretty home. Thanks for your sweet visit. You know a NANA loves sweet comments on her grands! What a cutie you little pond pup is!
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine, good luck on your move to Texas! You know the mums are a good investment for making the house even more attractive to buyers (I learned that on HGTV :)). I have the same little reading fairy on my porch. Don't you just love her? Have a great day. Linda
ReplyDeleteYour yard and your house are so beautiful! You shouldn't have any trouble selling that pretty house!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to be moving to Houston! I pray you both adjust well to the area and your new home!
God Bless,
Katherine
Ok...I didn't realize you were in NY...we used to live in Albany (Latham) and the fall was the most wonderful time to be in Upstate NY!!! I absolutely loved the season there.
ReplyDeleteYOU are MOVING! I have been there and done that so many times due to my husband's job transfers. What an adventure and fun to meet new people and find new friends. Can't wait to read all about it. I have several sweet friends in Houston.
Thank you all for your sweet notes. I am excited to be moving to Texas! I know it will be bittersweet. Now when it all will happen... is up to God! Praise Him!
ReplyDeleteI will keep posting every week as long as I can. I can't wait to decorate and play with dishes in my new house. Thank you all for visiting...stay tuned for the next segment!
Blessings and hugs,
Sweetladyelaine
Hey, another comment from me! I was glad to see your comment on my blog...my children when to Schenectady Christian School in Scotia when we lived there! Small world!
ReplyDeleteYou will love Houston! The city is really spread out, like Los Angeles, but the locals are so lovely & friendly. And, there is just so much to do. Plus it's a much prettier place than most people imagine. Welcome! Marsha
ReplyDeleteThanks for your nice comment.
ReplyDeleteI hope things are going well for you and that your pretty house sells soon!
Katherine
