For the last few days I have been thinking about what to do for a Tablescape. I look at other tablescapes and they always are so beautiful. I wanted mine to be pretty too! So I went to my favorite stores and hunted to see what I could come up with to make my everyday dishes stand out!
I think the polka dot placemats are adorable!
Don't you???
I have had my Yorktowne dishes since 1977. I absolutely love them and never, ever get tired of them. In fact, I had a placesetting for 24 and just gave my daughter half of them.
Of course....I was afraid when my husband sat down he would frown because it was pink....but he was ok with it.
The glasses are Yorktowne made by Pfalzgraff. I have pretty much everything there is to have in that pattern. The flatware is Paul Revere made by Oneida. The vases I have had a long time. The flowers are from my neighbors porch. I watched her dogs today and decided they would look great in those vases, so I picked them! LOL!

Sweetladyelaine, the pink on your table is so cheerful, the placemats with polka dots as much as the geraniums. The plates and glasses and flatware are all so nice decorated.

Hello there, thanks so much for commenting on my blog. You tablescape was so sweet and warm. And let me tell you the pics of your pasta procession were wonderful. Ive never had that with alfredo sauce, usually just add parmigiano cheese.
ReplyDeleteLove the pink polka dot place mats. So cheerful and happy. Your dinner sounds really good too!
ReplyDeleteYummmm! I am smiling at your things. We were probably picking out the same things in the same year. I had that identical dinnerware. I lost some of the pieces over the years and didn't have much to begin with. It is all gone but somewhere there is a little tea set that my daughter had that matched. I also have that flatware. It is still going strong. The pink makes everything pop.
ReplyDeleteYour table is adorable...love the polka dots and pink. Dinner looks delicious. I can't think of anything better!!!

I had Yorketown and the Paul Revere flatware too. They look great together. Most of my Yorketown broke, but I still have the serving pieces. I love the canisters, and the mixing bowls. They look so classic I won't get rid of them. I really like them paired with the pink! Very nice.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

LOVE the polka dots!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh I love your little tablescape with all the pink. The darling little vases with your neighbor's flowers are lovely. I really like the look of lots of small containers all clumped together for a centerpiece. I'm reading previous posts so I can get to know you, you delightful ladybug. xx's Marsha
