I have been so busy lately that I forgot to see what's going on in my own backyard.

I think they will be ripe in August. I'm not sure. We will have to wait and see. I am very excited, since this is the first time we have ever had a fruit tree!

Blessings My Friend,

The past few weeks this verse has helped me. I hope it helps you.......God will enable you, equip you, embrace you and encourage you when you need it! All we have to do is trust!

When I am afraid, I will trust in you.
In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust;
I will not be afraid.
What can mortal man do to me?
Psalm 56:4

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day! John and I worked in the shop during the day but did have a nice breakfast made by my hubby after church.

I took a few pictures of the inside of my shop for you to see. I am so excited to get started but a little nervous too!

Our 1500 sq.ft. showroom features all you can imagine to decorate your rooms. I have been collecting for awhile. I am hoping ladies will be bringing me their consignments soon.

Sunny yellow walls are "Welcoming,"the rest is painted a vanilla color. Stripes to add some texture to the room. God bless my husband for doing all the work!

All taped. We used Green Frog tape.

The outcome! A little touch up is needed.

The store looks so huge to me! This is looking from the back to the front.

Well, Bloggers there you have it!
The birth of Sweetladyelaine's Consignment Shop! I hope to keep you updated the best I can. Stay tuned for pictures once I get it all set up and my counter built! This should be quite a project since we have never built one before.....I have a feeling God will be building this one through us!

Blessings My Friend,

Thank you for all the encouraging words.

Violets on my Mind

Last month my husband and I went looking for a shed for our backyard. While he was looking, I found a patch of violets. I picked a bunch and brought them home. They are such a delicate flower.  Since then, I have been thinking violets. I don't have much purple but I managed to do a nice teascape. I never thought to use violet/purple table linens before I started doing Tablescapes! I guess I'm growing..........

This is my little spot by the windows........where I "rest". The napkin is a handkerchief that I have collected over the years. The luncheon plate and cup are a set . On the back it says "Registered USA , Celebrate, Made in Japan" within a life preserver symbol. The other saucer is Aynsley.

Last weekend I found this adorable dessert compote at a garage sale. I just think its so pretty with the green and violet. I have four that will be sold in my shop.

The seashells are just part of my decorations for summer. I picked them up whenever I go to the beach. I have a ton of them. I have them all over the house!

This is the whole picture of what I see when sitting in my chair.
I hope you have enjoyed my simple teascape. I would love for you to come for tea one afternoon. Soooooo.....if you are ever in Belleville, IL get in touch with me! I would love to meet you!

Thank you for stopping by. Please leave a message, I'd love to hear from you!

I am joining Susan at Between Naps On The Porch for Tablescape Thursday.

Blessings My Friend,

My BIG Reveal..............OH MY............

A few months ago I went in to a Consignment Shop called Consign & Design  to see what I could find. I found more than I bargained for..........a Christian friend and mentor.
I shopped there a few more weeks and then one day met the owner, Bernie. We started talking and one thing lead to another. I guess it started with the question "What are you waiting for??????" and then, "I will teach you everything you need to know!" I went home that night and prayed and prayed for days.  Was it me or did I just hear from God through Bernie?
 My answer was GOD!!
Scared, nervous, excited, shaken but convinced this is what I was to do!

I remember thinking to BREATHE!!!!!
Was I crazy???????
God was answering my prayers. I had wanted to own an antique shop for the past 20 years!

Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God"...........
 Kept coming to me.........................my inspiration.
(For that reason, it is on the back of my business cards.)
I approached my husband and told him what had happened and the story begins........
hunting for a space, licences, registrations, money, money, money.........AND

Sweetladyelaine's Consignment Shop was born...........

I want all of you to know....
I am stepping out in FAITH that God is going to help me. I do not have any money saved. We are doing this paycheck to paycheck. This shop is all about HIM not me.
Yes, it is my dream but His POWER!

I am in awe of how well it is all going. As a blogger you know I have inventory. I am also going to garage sales, estate sales etc for more. I will tell you, I am following my heart in doing everything.
I am listening to my inter voice, " The Holy Spirit"! He is leading us!

My husband and I are in the process of painting and getting "The Shop" ready.

June 2nd is the BIG DAY!!!!

I know GOD will show up.......

This explains why I am not blogging so much lately. I hope to join you all next week for Tablescape Thursday. I am missing you all.

On Opening Day,  I hope to set a beautiful table for you all to see.
If you have any ideas let me know! I will post progressive pictures as the shop gets completed.
I wish I had taken before pictures. I forgot!

I will keep you updated!

Blessings My Friends,
